Daisuke Oide – Founder & President
Ph.D. in Engineering / Licensed First-Class Architect.
Dr. Ode began his career at Obayashi Corporation, where he was involved in on-site construction management, R&D in seismic engineering, and new business development.
In 2021, he co-founded SPACE COTAN Inc. and served as Director and COO, where he led the planning and operations of the Hokkaido Spaceport from the ground up. As Japan’s first private spaceport, he oversaw a wide range of initiatives, including launch site development, private-sector partnership building, and launch operation support.
In March 2024, he founded ASTRO GATE Inc. with the ambition to lead spaceport planning and operations on a global scale. He is responsible for the overall management of the company, focusing on spaceport development, fundraising, and launch support for domestic and international rocket operators. He also has a strong external presence through speaking engagements, publications, and patents related to the space industry.
Yuki Harada – Co-Founder & CEO
Mr. Harada began his career at Nomura Research Institute, where he provided strategic consulting services across both public and private sectors. He specialized in space policy and business strategy, leading projects from initial planning and formation to final execution.
He has also contributed to the space industry through articles in specialized journals, speaking at conferences, and pro bono activities in industry associations, building a wide-reaching domestic and international network.
As a founding member of ASTRO GATE Inc., he initially joined as Co-Founder and Executive Advisor and became COO and CSO in December 2024. In April 2025, he was appointed CEO, where he leads key operations including business management, spaceport planning and development, rocket launch support, and international business development with governments and companies worldwide.
Taichi Nakao – CTO
Mr. Nakao served as a launch site engineer at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), where he was responsible for the development and operation of Japan’s flagship rocket programs.
He managed the maintenance and operations of major launch facilities at the Tanegashima Space Center and Uchinoura Space Center, contributing to the successful launches of the H-IIA/H-IIB and Epsilon rockets.
As part of the H3 rocket development program, he led the development of the mobile launch platform and umbilical system and conducted integrated system testing, including engine firing and launch site operations. Following the failure of the first test launch, he contributed to the consecutive successes of Test Flights 2 through 5.
In April 2025, he joined ASTRO GATE Inc. as CTO, where he oversees spaceport design and development, technical coordination with rocket operators, launch operations support, and space-related consulting services.
