ASTRO GATE Inc. (Headquartered in Akiruno City, Tokyo; President: Daisuke Ode; hereinafter “ASTRO GATE”) is pleased to announce that Mr. Okamoto, Head of the Business Development Division, gave a lecture at the Kanazawa Space School on August 26, 2025. The program was organized by the Kanazawa City Board of Education.
The Kanazawa Space School is an educational initiative designed to foster “young scientists” capable of deeply contemplating the mind, the future, and the meaning of life. The program targets a wide age range—from first-grade elementary school students to adults—using space as its central educational theme.
This marks Mr. Okamoto’s second appearance at the academy, following a previous lecture held in May 2025.

In this session, titled “Let’s Design a Spaceport Theme Park!”, Okamoto—who hails from Ishikawa Prefecture—introduced local junior high and high school students to the concept of spaceports and examples of theme parks co-located with them. He then led a hands-on workshop where students were invited to brainstorm attraction ideas for a hypothetical theme park built next to a future spaceport at the Port of Kanazawa.
The students proposed a variety of creative and inspiring attractions that could one day be part of a next-generation spaceport theme park.
ASTRO GATE will continue to support space education programs like the Kanazawa Space School across Japan and globally.
