ASTRO GATE Inc. (Headquarters: Akiruno, Tokyo; CEO: Daisuke Ode; hereinafter “ASTRO GATE”), a company engaged in the planning, development, and operation of spaceports worldwide as well as providing consulting and research services across the space industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Masaya Murohara as Technical Advisor. Mr. Murohara is currently engaged in research and development of chemical propulsion systems for small satellites at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences.
With Mr. Murohara’s appointment, ASTRO GATE aims to expand its core expertise—previously focused on launch sites and rockets—into the satellite domain, enhancing its ability to offer more comprehensive services to satellite companies that utilize space transportation.

My name is Masaya Murohara, and I am honored to join ASTRO GATE as a Technical Advisor. I have been involved in the research and development of compact propulsion systems for microsatellites at the University of Tokyo, and I am currently developing a new miniaturized chemical propulsion system at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (Switzerland) with support from the European Space Agency.
Propulsion systems are one of the most critical components for satellite operations, especially as satellite applications become increasingly advanced and diverse. However, they are also highly specialized systems that resist generalized design approaches. I look forward to working with ASTRO GATE, a company that plays a central role in domestic and international space development, and contributing to the success of your space ventures.
