ASTRO GATE Inc. (Head Office: Tokyo; President: Daisuke Ode) is pleased to announce that it won first place and the SBI Investment Award at the “Sumitomo Fudosan Venture Summit 2025” IGNITION STAGE PITCH held on October 29, 2025.
The IGNITION STAGE PITCH featured presentations from eight startups selected from among 79 ventures across diverse fields.
ASTRO GATE delivered a presentation titled “Expanding Humanity’s Potential Through Spaceports,” highlighting how spaceports can drive innovation and create transformative growth for nations and regions where they are developed.
As a result, we were able to win first place and the SBI Investment Award.

I am extremely honored to have received first place and the special SBI Investment Award at the Sumitomo Fudosan Venture Summit 2025 IGNITION STAGE PITCH.
I believe this has provided an opportunity for many people to learn about space, which is something I am personally very passionate about. The business we are undertaking aims to make space more accessible to various people through spaceports, which serve as gateways to space, and to contribute to the overall development of humanity. Spaceports are extremely important projects for nations, and some countries have already created policies to promote their domestic space industry through spaceports.
As a company, we will continue to develop spaceports around the world, including our initiatives in Minamisoma City, Fukushima Prefecture, where rocket launches have already been conducted, and strive to expand space transportation infrastructure and industrial development.
About the Sumitomo Fudosan Venture Summit
The “Sumitomo Fudosan Venture Summit” is a business matching event organized by Sumitomo Realty & Development, aiming to “provide a ‘place’ that connects all people and contribute to strengthening the startup ecosystem.”
It has been held at the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building from 2023 to 2025. In 2024, the event attracted over 2,000 participants.
