ASTRO GATE provided support for the launch of a private rocket by AstroX in Minamisoma City, Fukushima
ASTRO GATE Inc. (Headquarters: Akiruno City, Tokyo), which engages in the research, planning, and operation of spaceports, supported AstroX Inc. (Headquarters: Minamisoma City, Fukushima), a private rocket company engaged in the research and development of rockets using the rockoon (balloon-assisted launch) method, in the successful demonstration launch of its 10 km-class hybrid rocket “FOX” on November 9, 2024, in Minamisoma City.
The rocket, measuring approximately 6.3 meters in length and 33 cm in diameter, was successfully launched.
This marked the second time ASTRO GATE supported AstroX’s rocket launch, following the successful launch of “Kogitsune” on August 25, 2024.
For this launch, ASTRO GATE provided comprehensive support, including coordination and procurement, assistance with launch operations, and photo and video documentation.
This support was carried out as part of the Fukushima Tech Create Acceleration Program for FY2024, promoted by the Fukushima Innovation Coast Framework to foster new industrial bases in areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and nuclear disaster.
ASTRO GATE and AstroX will continue to strengthen their collaboration to establish access to space and promote regional development through the accumulation of space industry.

AstroX also has a track record of being selected for the FTC program in FY2022 for its “Demonstration of Air Launch of a Small Rocket Using a Plastic Balloon.”
